Assigning Equipment to Students

  1. Search in PowerSchool for the student who needs to be assigned a device.
  2. Click on "MBA Device Manager" in the Administration section in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the "Assign Device" button in the "Current Devices" tab.
  4. Enter the barcode of the device being assigned.
  5. Enter a note to explain why the device is being assigned.

Processing Damaged Devices

Damaged devices should NOT be unassigned from the student to ensure the device is returned to that student when it is repaired.

  1. Search in PowerSchool for the student who brought in the device.
  2. Click on "MBA Device Manager" in the Administration section in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the "Devices Breakages" tab.
  4. Click the "Record Device Breakage" button.
  5. Change the device status to "Damaged".
  6. Set the "Breakage Date" to the day the device was turned in to you.
  7. Enter the damage/malfunction details in the "Breakage Details" section.
  8. Click the "Submit Breakage" button.
  9. Assign the student a loaner device as described in the "Assigning Equipment to Students" section.
  10. Turn the device in to the tech office.

Unassigning Equipment from a Student

  1. Search in PowerSchool for the student who brought in the device.
  2. Click on "MBA Device Manager" in the Administration section in the left sidebar.
  3. Click the "Edit" button next to the device you wish unassign.
  4. Click "Yes" on the "Unassign Device" item.
  5. Click "Save Edits".
